What is ICARR

The International Committee for Animal Record Registration (ICARR) is the world-wide organization for the standardization of identification, ownership and medical information in animals. ICARR is primarily committed to the rapid reconnection of found animals with their registered owners. To better achieve the above aim ICARR is focussed on the rationalisation of the animal database system. ICARR members adhere to the values of animal welfare codes as formulated by the Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. ICARR members are committed to the elimination of illegal trafficking of indigenous species by the use of microchipping and sharing of database information with relevant law enforcement agencies.
